Okay guys, since the next clash is looming near, its time to refresh back memories of the past mistakes we have made and make attempts to correct them. Some of them will look identical to what you have seen in previous posts because as people, we always tend not to look back to the negative remarks. I hope by re-posting it, mistakes can be rectified.
Firstly, defence. Never ever ever ever turn your back on the ball after its been shot, might as well not stand there at all. When the opponents are about to shoot, close them down as fast as possible.
Secondly, clarity in the jobs assigned. Defence needs to know who is the last line and form of communication must be done throughout, not only the defence. Never ever lose focus in doing the offside trap job as it might be disastrous.

Fighting for first ball.
Pushing up without doing so is equivalent to constructing a shuttle- run circuit for the defenders. up...down...up...down and no result. Use your balls and brains together when doing so.
>Shouting "MAN ON" or "TURN".
Mark that empty man! Intimidate your opponents! Talk Talk Talk!
>Finding space.
This is closely linked to your mental strength. Ask for the ball in a meaningful position. Don't think of clearing the ball up all the time just to get that small rest or because you are too tired to think. The opponents will most likely regroup and attack again anyway. Sweat now or die later.
>Covering for one another.
Tiring, but i assure you when you play a good game, the tireness will just go away. Made a mistake? Continue to cover! Don't "oei' don't "wha lau" until the ball is out of play. Then we can all whalau together.
This are certain aspects we should look into. esp, covering for one another, if you want full backs to overlap, cover for dem so they have the confidence to go up. and get into good space. provide options
Okay back to where i have left off, I need the fullbacks to attempt to overlap, not getting the ball to cross is okay. But being there to provide options is essential. We need to have at least 3 options around us everytime a team mate gets a ball. 1 to the front, 1 to the side, 1 to back. Its the least requirement we need. By having that, team mates will feel assured with that, some may be tempted to beat players and go on and create an even better opportunity.
Team movement, thats all i gotta add, except for set piece, which i will explain to you guys personally in the gameday itself. Now, I will move on to the key things to take note for specific players.
1) Melvin - Needs to track back constantly and moving in the middle. Keep the ball closer to your body.
2) Yuzheng - Do not play like a out and out striker with all the final ball going into you in the middle. Move out more to the sides, draw opponents because you are certainly capable to make defenders panick. Esp throw ins, make your presence felt, give options, make the football flow.
3)Shem - Positioning. Its the key to fight a battle. Getting into good positions might let you run lesser. Read the game.
New game, new additions in the team and do not let the new players to feel lost. They have to play as though they have play football with us for lives.
For this, we will warm up together and Yuzheng will be in charge making sure the team is fully warmed up. After which we will proceed into some drills which may come in handy for the game.
thats all.
